MLAR sponsored a billboard four blocks from Oprah's famed Harpo Studios in Chicago and the Great Oprah Winfrey, her producers, and internationally respected investigator Lisa Ling took note and created a very special program that you will not want to miss.

- Ever lived behind a restaurant, I did, 5 years ago...It was a rough time, there were lots of cats living there with me, some of them even came to MLAR with me, and there was always plenty of food, but really the winters were a little tough, I don't want to do that again. Then one day someone scooped me up and I have been with these folks for 5 years, that is right, 5 years!! They are wonderful, feed me on time every day, I have a vet who gives me everything I need. But what I really want is a home to call my own, I have never had that. It would be great, and I would be the best cat you ever had. Come meet me, you'll see.

- Wow, I have been here for only 3 years, Colina has me beat! I am pretty darn sweet (that's what they tell me) and I have a best friend, Libby, we like to sleep on top of each other. They found us with ALOT of other dogs, chi dogs and dachshunds, all together, so I am sort of a "mix" (that's what they tell me) Libby takes some warming up to, but she's pretty special too. We really are a great pair, easy to walk on the leash (we could loose a few pounds (that's what they tell me) but I'm willing. If you have room in your life and your house for 2 easy going gals of "an age" and "a weight" then give us a shout, we'd love to meet you! Also want to give a shout out to our good buddy Faye, who just had shoulder surgery, GET BETTER, WE MISS YOU!!!
