At Main Line Animal Rescue, we won’t rest until every animal is treated humanely and with the respect they deserve. The look on the faces of each pet that fate brings to our door sends a message — a resounding call to action to do everything we can to prevent animal cruelty and homelessness.

That’s why, as an organization, MLAR is focused tirelessly on one goal: changing an inherently flawed system that leads to animal abuse and pet homelessness. Recent statistics suggest that the number of animals without homes is nearing epidemic proportions.

DID YOU KNOW…?

  • 5 MILLION animals nationwide enter into shelters each year.
  • 3.5 MILLION animals are euthanized at shelters each year.
  • Thousands of animals are regularly turned away from shelters for a variety of reasons, including health issues and lack of adoptability.

Main Line Animal Rescue does everything possible to rehabilitate animals and place them with loving families. Together with our volunteers, staff, veterinarians, and donors, we form an extended family of like-minded advocates relentlessly committed to saving lives to ensure they are taken care of while they wait for a new home of their own.

You can advocate for them too. In our advocacy role, we enact and support programs to ensure the wellbeing of animals. We encourage you to join us by learning about animal welfare law, recognize the signs of cruelty, being a voice in your community to encourage your friends to adopt, not shop, and fight every day for the rights of our four-legged friends.
